The previous document on this URL was a wide tour of how large platforms collect data. Those tours are everywhere. They also invite a slide into claims we cannot check. This replacement is local: when Google ads load on this publisher site, what can be processed, and what still cannot.
Oernoe is not Google. Anoepal operates Oernoe. Selected finished pages on www.oernoe.com may load Google AdSense with publisher ID pub-9477175344230263. That is a commercial relationship. Hiding it in a general rant about tracking is how you fail both a reader and a policy review.
Where the ads script is allowed
The script is allowed on How-To, the finished guides (including hostnames, corrections, and privacy requests), and journal articles that still pass the originality and length checks. It is not allowed on Home, About, Team, Contact, editorial standards, the guides index, the journal index, legal pages, login, signup, error pages, or the product hosts: Search, Health, Chat, AI, Docs, Drive, Tracker, Account.
You can check. View-source on this article should include adsbygoogle.js and the client id. View-source on About should not. /ads.txt should match the pub. If those fail, this article is already stale.
What Google may process on an eligible page
On pages where the script loads, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers, IP address, browser and device information, page context, and ad interaction data to serve, secure, limit, and measure ads. We request non-personalized ads by default. That is not the same as “not tracking.” Non-personalized still needs technical data to show a unit and to stop fraud.
The legal wording lives in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. Google’s own explanation is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We are not going to paraphrase Google into something softer.
The cookie bar on this site is a notice with Privacy, Cookies, Ads Settings, and OK. It is not a consent management platform. For visitors in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, Google Privacy & messaging in the AdSense account is what can show a consent message when that product is enabled. Until required consent exists, ads stay non-personalized. If the AdSense account does not have that product on, we should not pretend www invented a CMP.
What Search does not send
A query typed at search.oernoe.com is not an input file for these ads. We do not join Search history to an AdSense request on How-To. Search does not load the ads script. That split is the entire point of Search queries and Google ads. If you searched for a medical term and later opened this article, Google may still see that you opened this article. It should not see the query from us.
Account deletion at Oernoe does not reach into Google’s ad systems and erase a prior ad request. Use Ads Settings, the NAI opt-out, and the DAA opt-out linked from Cookies. The privacy-request guide covers what we can delete and what we cannot.
What this page will not do
It will not rank “the worst trackers of 2026.” It will not claim Oernoe makes you invisible. It will not say non-personalized ads are the same as no ads. It will not put an ad unit in the navigation and call it a helpful link. Placement rules are in the ads guide: ads are not menus, not download buttons, not login fields, and not pop-ups that cover the article before you can read it.
If a unit looks like navigation, write support@oernoe.com. If this article drifts back into a generic tracking essay, take it down. The URL is only worth keeping while it describes this site.
Mediapartners-Google and Google-Display-Ads-Bot are allowed in robots.txt so an ads crawler can read the same article a person reads. That is required for AdSense. It is not a license for those bots to fetch Chat or Drive. Product hosts are separate. If you are debugging a unit, start with view-source on this page, then About, then /ads.txt. Three files. Not a thread of screenshots with no URL.
