What Oernoe Is Building Next, and What It Still Needs to Improve

Oernoe is a growing service family, and honest progress includes knowing what still needs work.

I keep a messy note of what people ask after they hit the homepage. Half of it is "when is Mail." The other half is "why does this tile exist if I can't open it." Fair questions. We put too many names on a screen before the hosts were ready.

This is late August 2026. I'm not going to invent a fall calendar. I'm going to say what you can open, what still sits in older journal posts like a promise, and what we still do badly.

## The live set, said without a brochure

Search, Health, Chat, AI, Docs, Drive, Tracker. One account. Those are the ones the homepage can defend this month.

Search lives at https://search.oernoe.com. Health at https://health.oernoe.com. Chat at https://chat.oernoe.com. AI at https://ai.oernoe.com. Docs at https://docs.oernoe.com. Drive at https://drive.oernoe.com. Tracker at https://tracker.oernoe.com.

If you only try one thing, try Search. You can usually type a query before you create an account. Do that. Then decide if you want files or chat.

I will not list Music, Mail, Studio, Maps, or Alerts as if they sit in that same row. Some of those have journal posts. Some had months attached. Some of those months already passed. Recycling the month does not make a host appear.

## What "next" actually means right now

Next, for us, is not twelve new logos. Next is making the live seven less confusing and less thin.

The journal is part of the problem. We shipped a pile of one-minute posts that sound like product copy and then left them there. You're reading a rewrite of one of those. There are more. If a card on the homepage still 404s, that's on us, not on you for clicking it.

Product pages still talk like a warehouse. Search should sound like search. Docs should sound like a writing surface. When a page uses the same three adjectives for every tile, people stop believing any of them.

Support and status are next in the boring sense. When Search hiccups, people should have a URL that is not a group chat. Tracker exists for that. If Tracker is quiet and your tab is broken, we still need a way for you to say which URL and which browser. "Oernoe is down" is not a report we can act on.

## What we are not announcing today

I am not announcing a Mail launch week. There is an older sneak-peek post that talked about summer 2026. Summer is ending. Mail is not sitting next to Search on the homepage as a peer you can treat the same way. When there is a host you can open and keep using, we can write that post. Not before.

I am not announcing an Android app in the Play Store. There is an April post that said June–July 2026. That window closed. As of this writing you search on a phone through the mobile browser at search.oernoe.com. I'll say that in the app post too. Inventing September doesn't help.

I am not announcing Maps, Studio, or Music as if they graduated. Music has its own host and its own mess of catalog work. That's a different conversation. This post is about the family of services a new person meets on www.oernoe.com.

## What still needs to improve, specifically

Clarity first. If a service is a waitlist, the page should say waitlist. If a date slipped, the page should say the date slipped. Leaving the old sentence up is how you get a reputation for vapor.

The account story is better than it used to be and still uneven. One login is the point. Some people still hit a service that asks them to start over, or a switcher that doesn't show a tile they read about in March. If the tile isn't there, it may not be live for you. That's different from "we wrote a post."

Search quality is not a slogan I can finish in a paragraph. Some queries will look fine. Shopping queries may still send you back to a bigger engine. I will not tell you we index some giant number of pages. I don't have a number I'm willing to put in a journal post. Run your own mix for a week.

Docs and Drive need to feel like they belong to the same desk. Right now a lot of people create an account, upload nothing, and leave. That's on the empty state as much as on the user. A first-run that says "put one file here" would beat another feature list.

Health has to stay boring on purpose. It is not an emergency room. If we ever write copy that sounds like a clinic, someone should delete it. If you are in danger, use local emergency services.

AI has to stay a draft tool. Fluent and wrong still happens. If we ship a tone that sounds like a finished researcher, we'll spend the next year apologizing.

Chat has to stay a conversation tool. Not a proof that the company is invisible. Not a replacement for every other messenger your friends already use.

## The thin-post problem, since we're in one

A lot of these journal URLs were 700 characters pretending to be articles. That's why some of them got treated poorly by anyone who actually reads. Expanding them is not a traffic trick. It's us replacing filler with something a person could use on a Tuesday.

This rewrite keeps the original published date. I'm not backdating a new launch. August 5, 2026 is when the short version went up. The short version said growth isn't a homepage headcount. That part was right. It just didn't say enough.

If you want the current map of what's open, there's a later post, "What's Live in Oernoe in August 2026." Use that as the index. Use this one as the argument: we should build fewer things, describe them accurately, and stop promising months we can't keep.

## How I'd like you to judge us

Don't judge us on a slide. Open Search. Do three queries you already do. Open Tracker once while things are fine, so the healthy view is familiar. If you write, put one doc in Docs. If you don't write, skip it.

Then look at the leftover tiles and ask whether we admitted they're leftover. If we didn't, that's the improvement I care about.

Feedback belongs in support, not in a comment theater we don't actually run. https://support.oernoe.com is the help host. The contact page on www.oernoe.com is the other door. support@oernoe.com still works for the cases a FAQ can't cover. I will not invent a response-time number.

## Money, because people ask

Account creation is free. There is no surprise checkout for joining. Some features may later sit behind an optional paid tier. I will not invent a price list.

The publisher site can show contextual Google ads. That's already disclosed. Search is built so queries aren't used to build an ad profile. Those two sentences can both be true. If someone tells you the whole company has no ads and no measurement, they're cleaning up a sentence we should not have written.

We do not sell account or search data. Details live at https://www.oernoe.com/legal/privacy. Read that if you're deciding whether to put a file in Drive.

## What I want next month to look like

Fewer mystery tiles. Fewer one-minute posts. A status page people actually bookmark. Support articles that use the words users type, not the words we use in standup.

I want Mail to exist as a thing you can open, or to stop being advertised like it already does. Same for a native Android search app. Until then, the honest line is: not shipped as a peer to Search.

I want product descriptions that would survive a skeptic. "What can I do here?" and then the URL. That's the whole job.

We're a small company. Founded by Angel Mejia Rodriguez, operated by Anoepal. That is not a reason to forgive a bad page. It's a reason the bad pages should get shorter, not louder.

If you already have an account, you don't need a new one for each service. If a service isn't in the switcher, wait. Don't make a second identity because a journal post from spring sounded urgent.

That's the next work. Not a fireworks launch. The unglamorous part: say what is open, fix what is confusing, and stop measuring progress by how many nouns we can print on a homepage.
